Nearly one hundred people collected donations on the streets of Bolesławiec on Sunday. Young people were raising money for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. This year, however, there were no performances in the city center and no “Light to Heaven”—a fireworks display. Instead, there were smaller events associated with WOŚP. A film was shown at Orzeł Cinema on Thursday. On Friday, a Capoeira martial arts demonstration was held at Piwnica Paryska, while a concert took place at Pegaz club.

“I would like to thank everyone who helped with this year’s finale,” says Sylwia Zając of the Association for the Promotion of Culture and Art of Bolesławiec and Partner Cities “KAH.” The members of this association were the organizers of the Orchestra in our city.

This year, PLN 20,025.71 was raised in Bolesławiec.

As Janusz Droś informed the Boleslawiec.org service, PLN 5,200 was raised in the small town of Parowa. This amounted to PLN 5 per resident. It was probably a national record. For comparison, if every resident of Bolesławiec had donated PLN 5, more than PLN 200,000 would have been raised in our city.

WOŚP in Parowa was organized by OSP Ruszów, whose members included firefighters as well as young people and employees of the Primary School in Parowa and the Lower Secondary School in Ruszów.
