According to the Law and Justice party, economically degraded municipalities account for one-quarter of the country. When creating this list, its authors took into account:
- municipal tax revenues
- the unemployment rate
- labour migration.
Among the people who signed this document were, among others, Andrzej Duda, Marzena Machałek, and Mariusz Błaszczak. Interestingly, the applicants did not include, for example, Adam Lipiński.
Which municipalities in our county were included on the list? Bolesławiec, Nowogrodziec, Gromadka, Osiecznica and Warta Bolesławiecka.
“It is somewhat amusing. Perhaps these are data from 15 years ago. At that time, all the municipalities in our county were indeed described as municipalities suffering from structural unemployment. Neither Osiecznica nor, especially, Bolesławiec is in such a condition. I do not see any parameter that could determine this,” said Bolesławiec mayor Piotr Roman.
“I did not work on this bill. The fact that Bolesławiec is on this list will certainly not harm the town. If the bill comes into force, it will be verified once again. If Bolesławiec was included there inadvertently, I will take this into account and ask for it to be checked,” said PiS MP Marzena Machałek.
