Residents of Nowa and invited guests gathered in front of the Community House on Saturday afternoon and witnessed the official ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Head of Bolesławiec Municipality – Andrzeja Dutkowskiego, Chairman of the Municipal Council – Bogusława Uzieja, the village head – Ewę Surmę, and the contractor of the project, the owner of Usługi Ogólnobudowlanej „Żuraw” – Mieczysława Żurawia. The keys to the facility were then handed over, and Rev. Janusz Leszczyński, parish priest of the Parish of St. Michael the Archangel in Włodzice, blessed the building.

Once everyone had taken their seats, the Head of the Municipality, Andrzej Dutkowski, spoke. He first thanked the contractor and the site manager – Tomaszowi Różnickiemu – for completing the project efficiently and on time. As the municipal leader emphasized, he wished all activities to proceed as smoothly as this expansion.

As a token of appreciation, Mieczysław Żuraw, a great stork enthusiast in his private life, received an unusual stork figurine together with a trowel. In this way, the gift combined Mr. Mieczysław’s private and professional life.

The Head of the Municipality also addressed the residents in particular, wishing that the facility would always be full of life and serve as a place for meetings, joint activities and integration. He also emphasized that the multifunctional sports field and playground built nearby together form a cultural and recreational center for the village, created with both young and older residents in mind.

Ewa Surma spoke next, directing her words of thanks to the Head of the Municipality, Andrzej Dutkowski, the contractor, Mieczysław Żuraw, and the Bolesławiec Municipal Council, led by its Chairman, Bogusław Uziej.

There were also gifts from representatives of the County Circle of Rural Housewives – Olgę Burdynę and Grażynę Łucką – who wished the local KGW that the facility would serve them for many years.

After the official part, all the guests and residents celebrated together until late at night.
