The building is listed in the register of historic monuments. It was constructed around 1710, also to serve the educational needs of the local community at the time. An Evangelical school was established here.
The main part of the thermal modernization will involve replacing the roof, which has a considerable area of approximately 1,926 m². It is also possible that this work will reveal any damage to the roof truss and other elements, as was the case with the roofs of other buildings constructed around the same period, including the Church of the Savior in Cieplice, built in 1777.
“We are announcing a tender for this work,” said Marcin Zawiła, president of Jelenia Góra. “We are accepting bids until October 28 this year. This is one of the last schools in Jelenia Góra that has not undergone a major renovation in recent years. A considerable number of young people study there, and although thermal modernization is costly, it will make it possible to save substantial amounts on operating costs.”
