As traditionally, teams from fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade classes of primary schools took part in the competition. In total, 18 teams competed. The competition covered a range of issues related to safety in the broadest sense, particularly road safety, as well as safe recreation for young people during summer holidays, winter breaks and mountain trips, along with the principles of providing first aid.

As in the previous year, the competition consisted of three parts. The first involved completing a multiple-choice test containing 22 questions on safety.
