Six three-person teams competed, representing the Middle School in Osiecznica, GS No. 1 and GS No. 4 in Bolesławiec. The students tackled word problems and mathematical puzzles. The winning team was from Bolesławiec’s GS No. 1, second place went to the team from Osiecznica, and the second team from GS No. 1 took third place.
The first-place winners received, as a prize, an invitation to have pizza at El Pablo restaurant. The second prize consisted of cinema tickets for any 3D film, while third place was rewarded with tickets for a screening using traditional technology. The consolation prize for fourth place—two-hour passes to the “Orka” Water Park—went to the GS No. 4 team from Bolesławiec.
While waiting for the competition results, the middle school students took a short tour of the “construction school.” Under the watchful eye of vocational-subject teachers, they had an opportunity to learn about the fields of study offered at the technical secondary school, ask questions about individual specializations, visit classrooms and workshops, and personally try out some of the equipment and devices on which ZSB students train.
