On Wednesday, a debate between young people from Bolesławiec and presidential candidate Karol Stasik took place in the conference room of Hotel Piast. Piotr Roman was also originally scheduled to participate in the debate. However, the incumbent president did not attend the meeting. Before the meeting, a spokesperson for the City Hall explained his absence. In her view, candidate Piotr Roman wanted to meet at another time due to other commitments. Later, however, in connection with the tragedy in Silesia, he decided to suspend his election campaign.

Despite Piotr Roman's absence, the debate between the young people and Karol Stasik lasted more than an hour. The debate was moderated by Daniel Biernat (FMS), Mateusz Brandt (PiS) and Wojciech Kasprzyk (SMD). The young people who came to the meeting asked the presidential candidate many questions.

The questions varied. Most concerned local issues, namely unemployment and the emigration of young people from the city, the lack of new housing and the problem of traffic jams. The young people spoke about the lack of a proper sports hall, existing architectural barriers for people with disabilities, and difficulties in starting a business. At the end, Karol Stasik thanked the young people for actively participating in the debate.
