The matter was discussed during a session of the Bolesławiec City Council, held on 23 September in the Councillors’ Hall. “A major task lies ahead of us,” said Mayor Piotr Roman. “We are completing the process of moving people out of the so-called Samotniak [budynku przy ulicy Żwirki i Wigury w Bolesławcu – przyp. „ii”]. It took several years.”

The Municipality of Bolesławiec took over the former nurses’ hostel from the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. As P. Roman emphasised, housing had to be found for 79 families.

The building will now be modernised by the Bolesławiec Social Housing Society. We will return to this subject.
