The story of Witold Pilecki, from his youth, through his activities during World War II, to his imprisonment and death. The title role was played by Marcin Kwaśny. He is accompanied, among others, by Piotr Głowacki and Małgorzata Kowalska.
The documentary part of the film features the cavalry captain’s son – Andrzej Pilecki. Thanks to his accounts, a previously unknown, private portrait of the legendary Cursed Soldier emerged, seen through the eyes of a several-year-old boy. The film was made thanks to individual donors.
