On Friday, Civic Platform chairman Donald Tusk visited Bolesławiec. The politician came at the invitation of the local Civic Platform branch. Donald Tusk was accompanied by Civic Platform Secretary General Grzegorz Schetyna.
The meeting between Bolesławiec residents and Donald Tusk was held in a sports hall on Komuny Paryskiej Street. Before Donald Tusk arrived in Bolesławiec, several dozen PiS supporters gathered outside the hall and expressed their protest against the visit of the Civic Platform leader. However, the opponents of Civic Platform did not wait for Donald Tusk to arrive and dispersed earlier.
The performance by the group "Margines" entertained the Bolesławiec residents waiting in the hall for Donald Tusk. When Donald Tusk entered the hall, he was greeted with applause. The Civic Platform leader spoke about the situation in the country and the upcoming local elections. He encouraged Bolesławiec residents to vote for Civic Platform candidate for Mayor of Bolesławiec, Karol Stasik, and Civic Platform candidate for the Regional Assembly, Dariusz Kwaśniewski.
At the end of Friday’s visit, Donald Tusk received Bolesławiec ceramics. The Civic Platform chairman promised that he would visit our city again.
