During the harvest festival, many residents of the municipality boasted specimens weighing more than 25 kg. “We encourage all garden and vegetable garden owners to let these orange giants grow a little more,” say municipal officials. “We are announcing a municipal competition for the heaviest pumpkin!”
Photos and information about the pumpkins’ weight should be sent to the editorial office at nowinygminne@ckwr.eu. A ranking of the crops will be maintained on the municipality’s Facebook page and at www.rudna.pl.
The competition is scheduled to be decided in October, when the vegetables will also be weighed publicly. The owner of the heaviest pumpkin will receive an attractive prize: a weekend stay for two at Interferie Sport Hotel Bornit in Szklarska Poręba.
