On Saturday, TOP Ekoceramika Bolesławiec played its fifth-round match in the second league of table tennis. Our team’s opponent was LZS SKS Raszówka. It was a match between two teams next to each other in the standings. Before Saturday’s match, TOP were in second place and Raszówka in third. The teams’ positions in the table indicated that the match would be very closely contested.
The match began with TOP taking a 3–0 lead, but the following games were dominated by the visitors, and the scoreboard showed only a 4–3 lead for the Bolesławiec team. The final games decided the outcome of the match. Jaźwiec and Mularczyk came out at the first table, while Jarosław Girulski and Zbigniew Cezary began playing at the second. Both games ended in victories for our players, by scores of 3–1 in sets. The match ended with a deserved 7–3 victory for the Bolesławiec team.
TOP’s points were scored by: Łukasz Jaźwiec – 2.5; Robert Girulski – 2; Tomasz Fortunko – 1.5; Jarosław Girulski – 1. After four wins and one defeat, TOP Ekoceramika strengthened its position in second place in the second-league table tennis standings. The next match will take place away next Saturday against the leaders, Gorzovia Gorzów.
