Until now, they had to leave the city to train at specialised stadiums. This situation will certainly change when the county athletics field opens.
Thanks to the effective efforts of the County Board to secure financial support from the Marshal’s Office and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the second stage of construction of the stadium at Komuny Paryskiej Street began without difficulty. “Our county athletics complex... is on the home stretch,” says Bolesławiec County Head Dariusz Kwaśniewski. “The ‘Lekkoatletyczny Orlik’ is one of… 26 investments planned for this year! The total value of the investment is PLN 2 million 698 thousand.
Such a queen needs an appropriate setting, which is why the equally necessary thermal modernisation, together with repairs to damaged sections of the façade, was decided upon for part of the Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych building. For this purpose, an energy audit and a building survey were carried out.
The first stage of the school’s thermal modernisation includes, among other things, insulating the rear exterior wall and replacing the basement windows. The modernisation work is scheduled to be completed by mid-October, and more than PLN 66,000 has been allocated for this investment.
