Material assistance for pupils is provided exclusively for purposes directly related to the pupil’s educational process. Costs unrelated to the pupil attending school for curricular and extracurricular classes or undertaking education in non-school forms will not be financed from the awarded scholarship.

Examples of expenses eligible for a school scholarship

  • School textbooks, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, atlases, mathematical tables and required school reading.
  • School supplies (writing, paper and office supplies, e.g. notebooks, pencil cases, drawing pads, felt-tip pens, crayons, brushes, paints, glue, sharpeners, calculators, pencils, ballpoint pens, fountain pens, plasticine, modelling clay and other supplies related to school classes), a school satchel or backpack.
  • Gym clothing for physical education classes and additional school and extracurricular sports activities.
  • Tracksuit (sports sweatshirt and sports trousers), gym shorts, gym shirt, sports footwear: trainers, lightweight footwear such as tennis shoes, indoor sports shoes and plimsolls – up to 3 pairs per semester; required school or formal attire.
  • Computer equipment: computer, monitor, printer and educational computer programs.
  • Tuition fees, paid curricular and extracurricular educational activities: foreign-language learning, computer classes, dance lessons, learning to play musical instruments and art classes.
  • Pupils of upper-secondary schools – travel to school outside their place of residence and accommodation in a boarding school or dormitory.
  • Expenses related to group trips for school excursions and other trips connected with implementing the curriculum, i.e. “green school”, as well as visits to theatres and cinemas.

Invoices or receipts must be issued in the applicant’s name, i.e. the parent(s) or an adult pupil.

For purchases such as backpacks, footwear and clothing, they must bear the designation “school” or “sports”.

ALL APPLICANTS FOR A SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP ARE REQUESTED TO SUBMIT COMPLETE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

Applicants are required to provide information about all income received in the month preceding the application deadline.

Net income per family member in the month preceding submission of the application may not exceed PLN 456.

Family income is understood as the sum of monthly income from the month preceding submission of the application or, in the event of loss of income, from the month in which the application was submitted, regardless of the title or source of that income, reduced by:

  • the amount of the advance payment withheld for personal income tax,
  • health and social insurance contributions specified in separate regulations,
  • the amount of maintenance payments made for other persons.

The scholarship is not available to:

  • pupils in reception classes
  • pupils who do not live within Lubin Rural Commune.

A school scholarship is not available to a pupil:

  • who receives another scholarship from public funds, except where the total amount of scholarships received does not exceed PLN 1,820 per year
  • who has been placed in an institution providing round-the-clock care or in foster care (Article 7(2) of the Act of 28 November 2003 on family benefits, as subsequently amended)
