The Municipality of Bolesławiec, together with 12 other municipalities from Lower Silesia, received a certificate recognizing openness to structural funds. The award was accepted by the City Secretary. The title of expert in structural funds was awarded to Elżbieta Chojnacka, Head of the Department of Development and Promotion of the City at Bolesławiec City Hall. Both certificates were awarded by the Association of Polish Counties.
In the "2003–2005 Ranking of Local Government Investors," our city came fifth in the country (first in Lower Silesia). The ranking assessed the conditions created by the city for economic development. The ranking was conducted by the local-government magazine "Wspólnota."
Philips Lighting Poland honored the Municipality of Bolesławiec for promoting the idea of beautifying the city with light, through the modern illumination of the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and the Museum of Ceramics. Local governments that had installed lighting systems using Philips equipment received awards.
Bolesławiec also won the "7th Ranking of Municipalities by Nowiny Jeleniogórskie." This ranking assessed two indicators—income and investment.
