On Friday (7 August), BKS’s senior team played their sixth friendly match. This time, the players of Andrzej Kisiel faced local side Orzeł in Zagrodno. Due to the heatwave, the match was played from 6:30 p.m. Unfortunately, even at that time the thermometer in the shade showed 35 degrees.
The match was divided into three 30-minute periods. The Bolesławiec team confidently defeated their Class A opponents, scoring five goals and conceding one. It can be said that our players achieved a double victory, beating both the opposing team and the bothersome heat. Despite the heat pouring down from the sky and their fatigue, our players never let up until the final minutes. The goals for our team were scored by: Kacper Wojciechowski (2), a trialist, Krzysztof Janicki and Marcin Głowacki.
In just one week, BKS will begin its league campaign. Despite its problems, the club does not intend, contrary to circulating rumours, to withdraw from the competition. As far as their strength, motivation and ability allow, our players will fight for victory in every match and against every opponent. They will also do everything to preserve fourth-tier football in Bolesławiec. That is why they need help and encouragement from you, the fans. Come to the matches and support BKS, because BKS plays for you and for Bolesławiec! BKS, to battle!
