On Saturday, the Bolesławiec Left and Democrats inaugurated their election campaign at the headquarters of the Democratic Left Alliance on Opitza Street. The joint electoral committee brings together the Democratic Left Alliance, Polish Social Democracy, the Democratic Party and the Labour Union.
Saturday’s meeting brought together many members and supporters of left-wing forces. Former Chairman of the SLD Parliamentary Club Jerzy Szmajdziński also attended. During the meeting, the Left’s candidates for city mayor and the regional assembly were presented, along with the leaders of the lists for the city and county councils. Józef Burniak is the official candidate for mayor. Piotr Hetel is the Left’s candidate for the Regional Assembly.
