Dominik has begun preparations to defend his European Professional Champion belt. The fight is scheduled to take place in August or September in London. Unfortunately, the fight in Greece planned for June did not take place—the opponent withdrew from the bout.
– We are starting preparations for the title defense sooner. We want Dominik to have about two warm-up fights with good opponents – says Dominik’s sparring partner and father, Tomasz Zadora.
– First, we will build up endurance. Lots of sparring. We will train twice a day. Before this post-holiday title defense, we would also like to arrange about two fights to assess his level – says Dominik Zadora.
– There will be a lot of endurance work now, with less emphasis on purely technical elements, because Dominik already has his own style and techniques. We will perfect those that are very good and raise the level of those that are weaker in order to broaden his repertoire. His opponents are not idle: they watch videos and know how to position themselves against Dominik, so we have to prepare a few surprises – explains Tomasz Zadora.
The final stage of preparations will be tactical work, once the opponent’s name is known. Dominik’s fight strategy will then be tailored to that fighter.
– We would like to take this opportunity to thank our former sponsor, the head of the construction company Gabart, Henryk Okaj, for his support to date. Without this help, things would have been very difficult – adds Tomasz Zadora.
We are keeping our fingers crossed for a victory in the planned fight.
