It was presented during a ceremony held on July 9 in a hall in the Bolesławiec Subzone of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone “Invest-Park”. The ceremony was hosted by the outstanding journalist Magdalena Rygiel. Among those attending were Deputy Minister of Economy Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik, Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman and Joost van Helden, a member of the management board of Favorite Gifts Print Europe.
Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik: “I do not usually attend ceremonies connected with investments of this size. We generally try to honor the largest ones... One reason for my presence here is certainly Bolesławiec itself. The second is the fact that we have successfully implemented in this city something that is a systemic solution. Taking a considerable risk, we decided to build infrastructure that, at the construction stage, was neither rented nor developed. With some trepidation, we invested millions in places where—as we saw—there was potential; where we had a guarantee of excellent cooperation with the local government. And where—as all signs pointed to—the area would certainly develop economically.
Joost van Helden also spoke: “We would like to thank the zone and the local government for their help with this investment. We hope that in the future they will also help us resolve all the problems that will certainly arise.
The company will produce advertising materials. The entrepreneur guaranteed investment expenditure of PLN 9.5 million and the employment of 50 people. Favorite Gifts Print Europe plans to complete the investment by June 30, 2018, at the latest.
Piotr Roman: “This is an undeniable success and good progress: the gradual and consistent development of these areas. Just a few years ago, there was only a stubble field here. It may not be San Francisco yet, but it is not far off. Cooperation with the Zone is exemplary. We have also received tremendous help from the Ministry, especially since Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik became deputy minister. She is a good spirit of Bolesławiec; she is with us at important moments.
He added: “Today, we have the eighth investor in the subzone. And I claim that this is not the end.
The mayor also recalled that, according to experts from London, Bolesławiec is one of the 10 most attractive places to invest in Europe.
