The incident occurred on Saturday (June 20) at approximately 2:00 p.m. Two Volkswagens collided head-on on the road between Warta Bolesławiecka and Iwiny. Two people were injured. One was taken to hospital, while the other refused medical assistance.
According to police findings, the driver of a Volkswagen Golf failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions, crossed into the opposite lane and caused a collision with another Volkswagen that was travelling correctly. The Golf driver was fined PLN 400. Fire service units from Bolesławiec and Warta Bolesławiecka, an ambulance and police were present at the scene.
