The organizers of Zgorzelec’s basketball celebration, UKS Basket and the Zgorzelec City Municipality, invite all basketball enthusiasts to two days of fun, during which the city’s main street will be transformed into a large, open arena for basketball competition. The June Saturday-and-Sunday games have shown for 15 years that Zgorzelec is a city of basketball.
Streetball is an event whose Stars are all the participants: children, young people, entire families, older people, VIPs and Special Guests – the players of the PGE Turów Zgorzelec Basketball Club, the 2015 Polish runners-up!
ATTENTION! During the event, i.e. from 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, the section of Warszawska Street – from the intersection with Bohaterów Getta Street to the intersection with Domańskiego Street – will be completely closed to traffic. Drivers travelling through central Zgorzelec on these days are asked to exercise particular caution and follow the road signs. We apologize to those planning to travel through Zgorzelec’s city centre on these days for the inconvenience and ask them to use the prepared detours.
The Municipal Police also reminds drivers of the absolute necessity of removing vehicles parked on the section of Warszawska Street closed to traffic, where the games will be held.
