In addition to the preschool children and their families, local residents also took part in the picnic. As usual, plenty of surprises awaited the guests. The picnic began with a performance by the “witches” from the older children’s group, who, during their broom dance, effectively chased away the dark clouds that had been gathering in the sky since morning. Among the attractions prepared for the children, the clown games and inflatable castles proved the most popular, with the queue for them seeming endless. The little ones also greatly enjoyed having their faces painted in interesting designs, jumping on the trampoline and decorating sponge cake. The book fair and the stall with surprises, where visitors could win wonderful toys and interesting gadgets, also attracted considerable interest.
The military and fire engines were also besieged by visitors. It was possible to see and touch all their equipment and even switch on the siren. The kindergarten staff also prepared a “hot and cold buffet”. There was delicious pea soup, chips, grilled sausages, waffles, popcorn, coffee, tea and wonderful cakes baked by the parents. The organisers’ aim was to provide the event’s participants with many opportunities for joy, laughter and a good mood, as well as to encourage parents to have fun together with their children. Such gatherings are very important to the staff of this institution because they promote not only the integration of the preschool community but also that of the local community.
