After their success in the county qualifiers in Zgorzelec and the regional qualifiers in Jelenia Góra, our representatives showed that they are the best in the province in the sung poetry category.
Agnieszka Weryszko from Bracia Śniadeccy Secondary School in Zgorzelec, together with Emil Smardzewski from the Górnicy i Energetycy Turowa Vocational and General Secondary School Complex, took first place and thus qualified for the national final, which will be held in June in Włocławek (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship).
Meanwhile, Krzysztof Oleksyn from Bracia Śniadeccy Secondary School in Zgorzelec received an honourable mention, also with a chance to participate in the final—after previously sending his recording to Włocławek.
This is the second consecutive year that students from Zgorzelec have reached the final. Last year, the finalist was Maria Ilczyna, a graduate of Bracia Śniadeccy Secondary School in Zgorzelec.
The winners received financial support from starosta Artur Bieliński during the county, regional and provincial qualifiers alike.
