The EBA is an internationally renowned non-governmental organization based in Oxford, United Kingdom, which for 15 years has worked to promote dialogue among experts, academics, investors and local governments, carrying out numerous projects in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. EBA’s international experts rated the development of the city of Bolesławiec and its investment potential highly. The prestigious honor for Bolesławiec was accepted by the city’s mayor Piotr Roman.
The award ceremony took place during the Achievements Forum organized by the Europe Business Assembly EBA in London. More than 100 people participated, including business and local-government representatives from over 20 countries around the world. The European countries whose cities were honored included Hungary (Budapest), Portugal (Braga), Bulgaria (Ruse) and Romania (Timișoara, Arad).
In Poland, besides Bolesławiec, Rzeszów and Płock also received prestigious honors. “It is very gratifying that our city was noticed and selected by the EBA expert committee as an attractive investment location and received the prestigious Prime Business Destinations award—the certificate and flag. It was a great surprise for us to be noticed among so many other cities in Europe and around the world,” says Bolesławiec mayor Piotr Roman. It is worth emphasizing that the honors provide the basis for creating a global register of leading cities, regions and organizations attractive to investors.
