Work on the reconstruction of Orła Białego Avenue, on the section from Biała Avenue to Zygmunt Krasiński Street, began at the end of November last year. During the work, the old asphalt surface was removed. Further work included reinforcing the paths and cycle paths, laying a paved surface and installing curbs.
Street lamps have already been installed. Benches and litter bins will be placed. Another fountain with clean running water will appear near the playground. This section of the avenue will have the same character and surface quality as the section of the park’s main path that was reconstructed before last year’s summer holidays.
The reconstruction of Orła Białego Avenue was divided into two stages. The first covered the section from Powstańców Śląskich Street to Biała Avenue. During the summer holidays of 2014, the work was suspended so that Legnica residents and visitors could enjoy the park freely and without disruption.
