On March 4 at 5:00 p.m., a ceremonial gathering marking Women’s Day was held at the headquarters of the SLD District Council at 15 Opitza Street in Bolesławiec. More than seventy women from across Bolesławiec County took part. In addition to SLD members, the gathering was attended by a large group from the “Forum of Women,” chaired by Alicja Janiec, the Amazons’ Club, the ZNP Club, representatives of the “Siberians” and the “Carpe Diem” organization.
At the beginning of the gathering, Stanisław Chwojnicki, chairman of the SLD District Council, conveyed good wishes to the women on behalf of the council. In addition to flowers and good wishes from the men, the women were treated to a cosmetics presentation, a symbolic champagne toast and delicious baked goods from “Wioska Smaku Lipiany.”
The gathering continued in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Many women were interested in Dr. Magdalena Ogórek, the SLD candidate for the office of President of the Republic of Poland.
