Before the project participants take their seats in the parliamentary benches, they will complete a recruitment task, the theme of which this year is: “Young people’s places – what kind of public space do young people need?” Two-person teams of pupils from all grades of lower-secondary schools and upper-secondary schools may apply to the project.
The two-person teams are tasked with conducting a study of a selected place in their local area and proposing changes and actions based on the results obtained. The student teams will publish reports on their completed task on the SDiM online platform. On this basis, 460 people will be selected to take part in the session of the Sejm of Children and Young People on 1 June 2015 in the Sejm building in Warsaw.
A team can be registered until 7 April via the SDiM platform.
The aim of this year’s SDiM edition is to engage pupils in activities for the benefit of their immediate surroundings, teach civic attitudes and shared responsibility for public space, and promote an active approach to the local community.
