The Cursed Soldiers were those who did not accept the end of World War II and took up arms against another totalitarian system, alongside Nazism—communism. They stood against the powerful forces of the new aggressor and its ruthless propaganda.
The Zawidów Culture Centre invites residents on 1 March to commemorate the National Day of Remembrance of the Cursed Soldiers. The programme of the ceremony, which will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Zawidów Culture Centre, includes an artistic and historical reenactment and a screening of the Television Theatre production “The Death of Cavalry Captain Pilecki”.
