For the fifth time, the Amazon women from Bolesławiec celebrated the feast day of their patron saint, St. Agatha. First, a Mass was held at the church, after which the women met for a social gathering at the Community Hall in Łaziska.
– There are at least 80 of us. Friends came from Wrocław, Olszyna Lubańska, Lubań and Zgorzelec. There are at least 50 of us from Bolesławiec. The municipal and city authorities are also here – says Władysława Kotlarek, president of the Bolesławiec Amazonki Club.
The Amazon women’s regular meetings take place every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at the Day Residence Home on Staroszkolna Street in Bolesławiec.
