The jurors considered evaluation criteria such as editorial care (aesthetics and graphic design), editorial quality, the appeal of the subject, educational and artistic value, originality, the result of an individual’s or team’s work, and the impact on the communities of the city, the region and the country.
The jury nominated the following publications for the title of “Legnica Book of the Year 2014”:

- “The Nobility in Silesia: the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period.” Edited by Jan Harasimowicz. Dresden, Sandstein Verlag.
The ceremonial finale of the competition, during which the nominations will be presented and the winning book announced, will take place on 30 January this year during the New Year’s Concert. The winner will receive the title and a unique glass statuette from the studio of Professor Borowski.
The competition is organized by the Copper Museum and the Legnica Public Library.
