Work began in January. Szarych Szeregów Street will be paved with concrete blocks, as will the link between Pileckiego and Powstańców Warszawy streets. Pavements, lighting and sanitary infrastructure will also be built. The cost of this investment is approximately PLN 650,000. The work is scheduled for completion in the summer of this year. This is another investment serving residents and enabling the development of residential construction and infrastructure in this new part of the city.

It is worth recalling that for many years the municipality has consistently been carrying out the project entitled “Equipping investment areas for residential construction – networks and roads in the Piekary B district.” A network of streets is being built together with complete infrastructure (carriageways, pavements, lighting, stormwater drainage and access roads). This significantly increases the value and investment appeal of these areas, enables the development of residential construction and related commercial and healthcare services, and supports the creation of recreational green spaces, car parks and cycle paths. It also responds to the social needs of residents.

The city has invested several million złoty in local roads in Piekary B. More than PLN 3.7 million of this amount was the municipality’s contribution to projects carried out jointly with the development companies Modernbud and Sedyko and financed equally under the so-called local initiatives. To date, the following streets have been built: Jankowskiego, Powstańców Warszawy, Kedywu, Okulickiego, Pileckiego, Hubalczyków and Batalionu Zośka. In the coming years, the city plans to build further roads in this district.
