The 23rd WOŚP finale will take place on 11 January. Anyone wishing to donate an item to the Orchestra can bring it to the Legnica Culture Centre (entrance from Chojnowska Street), to room 126 (the secretariat) on the first floor, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Selected donations will be auctioned from the stage during the WOŚP finale in Legnica. The remaining items will be put up for online auctions benefiting the Orchestra. “We ask donors to attach notes with a brief description of the item and the proposed price to the things they donate,” the event organizers say.
The collection will continue until 5 January. For details, call 76 72 33 723 or 76 72 33 700.
This time, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will play to maintain high standards of treatment for children in paediatric and oncology wards, as well as to support dignified medical care for senior citizens.
“We decided to focus once again on paediatric and oncology wards in order to maintain the high standards of medical care that have been developed, among other things, thanks to WOŚP’s previous purchases. Of course, we have not forgotten about senior citizens. For the third time, we are turning our attention to geriatrics so that older people, too, can recover in dignified conditions,” says Jurek Owsiak, the “conductor” of the world’s largest orchestra of human hearts, which has so far collected and donated more than PLN 590 million to support Polish medicine.
