Representatives of the City Council, Bolesławiec parishes and associations, together with Mayor Piotr Roman, offered residents their warmest wishes and then shared the Christmas wafer. Residents helped themselves to dumplings, cakes and other delicacies prepared especially for the Christmas Eve celebration.

“I am glad that you came today despite the rain,” said Piotr Roman. “I wish that the residents of Bolesławiec, as in the song ‘All Poles Are One Family,’ would become a family to one another. I wish you healthy, peaceful and warm holidays,” the mayor said.

Wishes were also offered by Dean Andrzej Jarosiewicz and City Council Chairman Jarosław Kowalski. Scouts from the ZHP Bolesławiec troop brought the Bethlehem Light. The Christmas Nativity Scene competition was also decided.
