The application must be renewed every year, as the basis for deciding on a possible reduction is the family's current financial situation.
– In 2014 – says Marcin Zawiła, the city's president – more than 800 families benefited from the reduction. The vast majority, approximately 680 families, received a reduction of as much as 40%. More than 60 families received a 30% reduction, more than 40 received 20%, and 23 families received 10%.
He adds: – We expect the size of the individual groups not to change significantly. Nevertheless, everyone must submit an application, because otherwise there will be no legal basis for granting such reductions. It is worth taking care of the condition of the family finances.
