The document states, among other things, that individuals who own a property, structure, construction equipment, installation or other site containing asbestos may apply to participate in the Programme. Asbestos will also be removed from properties owned by the Legnica Municipality.
The costs of asbestos removal will be financed as follows:
- 15 percent from the budget of the city of Legnica
- 85 percent, but no more than PLN 680 per tonne, from the Wrocław Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, with financial support from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Warsaw; the funds will be administered by the Legnica Municipality.
The work involving asbestos removal will be carried out by a specialist company selected by the Mayor of Legnica in accordance with the Public Procurement Law.
To obtain funding, applicants must submit an application to join the Programme together with copies of the required documents. The completion date for asbestos-removal work declared in the application may not be later than 30 September. Applications must be submitted to the Registry Office of the Legnica Municipal Office by 15 January of the year in which the project is planned to be carried out.
