The PO-PSL-SLD coalition in Bolesławiec County is not under threat, but it is not yet certain who will become starosta. The coalition partners will estimate the number of votes won. It is known, however, that no one from outside the governing coalition will join the Board.
Marian Haniszewski of PSL declares his willingness to cooperate. He is grateful that for eight years the agrarians were treated well by their county coalition partner.
“What appeared in the media about the new County Board is nonsense. Someone has vomited it up,” commented Karol Stasik of Civic Platform, who was chairman of the County Council in the previous term. “The most important thing is signing the agreement. We are constantly being nipped at by various groups that are trying to break up our coalition, but as you can see, we are sitting together and want to work together. It is well known that the devil is in the details, and at this point we will deal with the programme and the preparation of the personnel for the future Board and Council,” Stasik added.
“Who will be starosta and who will be deputy starosta are matters of speculation, and everyone has the right to draw their own conclusions; how it will ultimately work out is not known,” Marian Haniszewski confirmed Stasik’s words.
Stanisław Chwojnicki added that SLD reserves the right to make the final decision on the coalition’s personnel arrangements for the most important positions.
Who will perform which function on the Board will become clear during the first session of the Bolesławiec County Council. As we have learned, no one will take up a salaried position as a member of the Board.
