The money came from a financial prize awarded to our city for placing third in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in the 20th edition of the Sports Tournament of Cities and Municipalities. The mayor divided the prize between Zgorzelec sports clubs, thereby recognizing their achievements and contributions to promoting the city through sport.
UKS Warrior has received money from the prize won by the city in the Sports Tournament of Cities and Municipalities for the second time. The sports equipment purchased with the funds was personally presented to the club by Mayor Rafał Gronicz on November 3, during a visit to an afternoon training session at Primary School No. 2. The coach and athletes thanked the Zgorzelec City Office for its support.
MKS OSA allocated the money to purchase new athletics spikes for its athletes. Mayor Rafał Gronicz presented the club with a symbolic pair of sports shoes on October 24 at a meeting summarizing the season. As usual, the meeting also provided an opportunity to present awards and distinctions to OSA’s best athletes.
