The puzzle-assembling competition began on Saturday at 11:00 at the Community Hall in Kruszyn. Children started the puzzle competition. The 9- and 11-year-olds had to independently assemble a picture from a cartoon, consisting of 120 pieces. Justynka Scholc from Łaziska needed 30 minutes for the task. Maciek Zielonka from Kruszyn was only a few pieces slower.

At 16:00, the tournament section for adults began. Representatives of the nine teams drew tables and eagerly began assembling. The four-person teams had to assemble a picture consisting of 1,000 pieces. Only those who have tried it themselves can say how difficult and time-consuming this task is. During the competition, two bands performed on stage. The first was a rock band that rehearses daily in the meeting hall in Bolesławice. It was followed by 59-700 Quartet, which played several pieces for the participants, combining jazz, funk and rock.

The first and ultimately winning team finished assembling at around 19:45. The team named Dream Team won the puzzle marathon. The puzzle-assembling champions were: Weronika Pawlikowska, Teresa Mularczyk, Edyta Pawlikowska and Brygida Laudani. The winners received wheeled suitcases, a puzzle trophy, certificates and countless congratulations. Puzzelinki took second place, with Agnieszka Kołodziej, Anna Szopińska, Bożena Wieczorek and Magdalena Sulik. The girls finished assembling the puzzle at 21:00. The team representing Bader—Tomasz Stadnik, Michał Juszczyk, Marek Skarbież and Monika Cieśla—came third. The mixed WuBe and Bolec team took fourth place. The Domisi team from Łaziska came next. The KAH association’s representatives took sixth place. Two teams, EMKA and MOSiR, were jointly awarded seventh place. These teams did not complete their pictures, but because of fatigue and the late hour (22:30), they decided to stop assembling. The team from Kraszowice also failed to finish the competition after unfortunately drawing the most difficult set.

The first MAUPa Puzzle-Assembling Marathon was not short of spectators. Numerous attractions were also prepared for them. These included brain teasers, such as sudoku, and manual puzzles, for which they collected small points. The points could later be exchanged for prizes at the refreshment stand prepared by Oleńka restaurant from Brzeźnik. Oleńka restaurant was also the sponsor not only of small gifts for spectators, but also of prizes for the competitors. The two teams that won second and third place will have the opportunity to meet for a celebratory dinner in Brzeźnik. Organizers, participants and spectators of the puzzle marathon all believe that the event was a success. Several teams have already declared their participation in the next edition of MAUPa. The champions, namely Dream Team from Kruszyn, announce that they will not relinquish their title. We will find out whether that happens next year.
