The old surface of concrete slabs and asphalt has been replaced with new smooth paving blocks covering more than 4,000 square metres. The access ramp for people with disabilities on Witelona Street has also been reconstructed.

Witelona and Skarbka Streets were modernised along their entire length, from the intersection with Jaworzyńska Street to Wilson Square. The road surface was replaced, making travel smoother and more comfortable. Before this investment was completed, Mayor Tadeusz Krzakowski decided to expand it to include the reconstruction of the pavements. As a result, the city centre has changed in appearance. The new pavement runs, for example, from Jaworzyńska Street to Mickiewicza Street.

Earlier, the pavements near the Zespół Szkół Elektryczno-Mechanicznych and around the intersection of Jaworzyńska, Skarbka, Wjazdowa and Muzealna Streets were also reconstructed.
