As every year, Women's Day celebrations began in the center of Bolesławiec. At 1:00 p.m., members of the Federation of Young Social Democrats and the Democratic Left Alliance handed tulips to women in the Bolesławiec market square. "Seeing the joy that a symbolic flower brings to women, we are convinced that this holiday will not be forgotten. Therefore, on behalf of FMS and SLD, I would like to wish the women of Bolesławiec all the best on this special day," says Daniel Biernat, chairman of the Young Social Democrats. The flowers were handed out in less than ten minutes.
At 5:00 p.m., a formal Women's Day reception was held at the headquarters of the SLD District Council. It was organized by the male members of SLD, who prepared refreshments, a glass of wine and flowers for more than 40 women. Members of SLD from Bolesławiec County and women from the Association of Retirees and Pensioners of Former KGHM Employees were invited to the meeting.
