– We met to celebrate our school’s double success. We ranked among the ten most active schools in Poland participating in the “Open Company” programme, and in April this year we also organised Entrepreneurship Days and were recognised for that as well. And once again, we ranked among the ten most active schools – said Ewa Zarzycka, headmistress of the Complex of Upper-Secondary Schools in Lubin.

Last year, during Entrepreneurship Week organised as part of the “Open Company” programme, students of the Complex of Upper-Secondary Schools in Lubin took part in classes led both by entrepreneurs operating in Lubin and the surrounding area and by employees of institutions such as the Tax Office, the University of Professional Education of the Copper Basin and brokerage firms. The classes were intended to show students what entrepreneurship involves, how to run their own business and what formalities await a future entrepreneur.

As the students themselves say, it was an invaluable lesson for them. In addition to theory, they also had the opportunity to test themselves in practice, fill in a PIT form independently and dispel their doubts by asking specialists from various fields of entrepreneurship questions.

Among the invited guests were representatives of institutions that had cooperated with the school in last year’s programme, as well as representatives of institutions supporting this initiative.

– Thank you for your commitment and for the time devoted to conducting classes with the students and passing on to them the many values and knowledge necessary in adult life – added Ewa Zarzycka.
