Officers from the Criminal Division of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters, who combat economic crime, detained a 21-year-old resident of Legnica County. The man was detained when he attempted to obtain a loan fraudulently. The actions of the Bolesławiec police prevented a fraud attempt that the 21-year-old wanted to commit to the detriment of one of Bolesławiec’s banks.
The resident of Legnica County intended to take out a PLN 10,000 cash loan using a forged certificate of employment and income. The man had previously been convicted of crimes against property. Fraud is punishable by up to 8 years in prison.
