Witelona and Skarbka streets were reconstructed along their entire length, from the intersection with Jaworzyńska Street to Wilson Square. The road surface was replaced, making driving smooth and comfortable. Before the investment was completed, a decision was made to expand it with an additional task—the reconstruction of the sidewalks. As a result, the functionality and appearance of this part of the city centre are changing dramatically.
As part of the sidewalk works, the old and very worn-out surface—made of concrete slabs and asphalt—as well as its deep sub-base, was replaced along the section from Jaworzyńska Street to Mickiewicza Street. Attractive green areas were created. It is worth recalling that the sidewalks by the Zespół Szkół Elektryczno-Mechanicznych and around the intersection of Jaworzyńska Street with Skarbka, Gwarna and Muzealna streets had also previously been reconstructed. Further sidewalks included in the reconstruction were renovated along Witelona Street.
