During the first-grade induction ceremony at Primary School No. 5, after taking their oath, the children received a pleasant gift from Mayor Piotr Roman and councilor Stanisław Zmaczyński. Memory Bolesławiec Game is an educational memory game. The pictures show Bolesławiec landmarks: the town hall, basilica, theater, courthouse, towers, defensive walls and museums; important contemporary buildings, including the BOK-MCC building, CIK Orzeł and the Orka swimming pool; the city fountain; and events such as the Festival of Ceramics, the Zdobinki parade and the reconstruction of the battle on the Bóbr River. The game will be distributed during the induction ceremony to all first-graders from Bolesławiec.
The children, deeply moved by this important ceremony, gave a wonderful performance in the artistic program. Four first-grade classes, including a class of six-year-olds, sang, danced and demonstrated their knowledge of letters and numbers.
The children were inducted as first-graders by the school’s principal, Ewa Sokolińka. She wished them perseverance and many academic successes. The principal also administered an oath to the parents. The mothers and fathers promised to support their children in learning, help them and share in each of their achievements.
Piotr Roman is a graduate of the school on Dolne Młyny Street. The mayor wished the children that school would be their second home. “The presence of parents at the ceremony is a good sign for future cooperation with the school, and I wish you such good cooperation,” the mayor said at the end of the ceremony.
