The stage proved its worth, children’s competitions were held, and a dance band played. The newly opened complex includes paths with benches, an outdoor gym, a boules court, chess and table-tennis tables, a stage with a technical facilities building, a fountain, streetlights, surveillance cameras and a small car park. The investment cost over PLN 910,000, more than 50% of which was funding obtained by Gmina Janowice Wielkie from the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.

The park opening was combined with the finale of the “An apple doesn’t fall far from Janowice” campaign, organised by the Janowice Wielkie Village Renewal Group. A total of 150 apple tree seedlings were distributed. The organisers prepared apple-themed games and activities for the youngest participants.

The children took part in a quiz and solved riddles, assembled puzzles and drew apple trees. On the open stage, both older and younger participants presented their songs related to the fruit. Homemade apple compote was available for those who were thirsty.
