The ceremony marking the holiday of education workers was opened by the Mayor of Gmina Bolesławiec Andrzej Dutkowski. He had many warm words for all those who work with children and young people in the gmina’s schools every day.
- Recent years have been a period of many positive changes in education, said Andrzej Dutkowski. - It has been a time of many investments, important decisions and concrete actions. A rich teaching infrastructure, ensuring preschool care for the gmina’s youngest residents, and the construction of sports infrastructure are just some of them. There is still a great deal of work ahead for the gmina, because in accordance with our motto, “we invest in the future,” we want to invest precisely in our children and young people, the mayor added.
The actions of Gmina Bolesławiec regularly produce results. They can be seen every year during the sixth-grade examination. For many years, the results achieved by pupils from the gmina’s schools have been higher than the average result in the voivodeship. Among other things, it was for this that the heads of the institutions thanked their employees by presenting Principal’s Awards.
The most eagerly awaited distinctions were the Gmina Bolesławiec Mayor’s Awards. This year, they went to Małgorzata Cołokidzi, Krystyna Myszkun, Beata Sasak, Joanna Jędrzejczyk, Dorota Żuk, Danuta Płocharczyk-Pryki and Katarzyna Matoryn. They were presented by the mayor and secretary Iwona Przybylska.
Mayor Andrzej Dutkowski also presented the Award of the Lower Silesian Superintendent of Education in Wrocław to Arkadiusz Kruszelnicki principal of Jan Brzechwa Primary School in Żeliszów.
The National Education Day ceremony was enhanced by performances from the dancers of the Zespół Pieśni i Tańca Ziemi Bolesławieckiej and vocalists from Agnieszka Orawiec’s Vocal Studio.
