The village of Spytków, located in Gmina Zgorzelec, won this year’s sixth edition of the Beautiful Lower Silesian Village 2014 competition, organized by the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. On the sunny Saturday of October 4, the residents of this charming village, together with invited guests—including Marshal Cezary Przybylski, Senator Jan Michalski, County Head Artur Bieliński and Deputy County Head Mariusz Tureniec—went for a walk around Spytków, proudly presenting their achievements to date and announcing plans for the future.
Over the past three years, the Spytków bez Granic Association has completed 25 projects worth more than PLN 250,000. The winners received awards in the following categories:
- most beautiful homestead
- best start in village renewal
- best village renewal initiative
- most beautiful village.
