The couple met in April 2013 and were together for several months. In March of that year, the woman decided to end the relationship, which the accused did not accept. From then until July 2014, Konrad B. persistently harassed his former partner, sending her vulgar text messages and suggesting in them that he would not stop harassing her. He called the victim repeatedly, as well as her daughter and father. What is more, he followed the woman and took belongings and documents that belonged to her.
That is not all. He created a social media profile using the victim’s personal details and published comments there defaming the woman. He damaged the door to her apartment, set fire to the intercom in the stairwell, and threw stones and eggs at the window. On 13 May of that year, he also took her correspondence from the mailbox and read its contents without authorization.
B. repeatedly threatened his former partner, saying that he would kill both her and her daughter. He did so both verbally and by waving a knife at her. He even threatened her in the presence of a police officer.
He was detained on 25 July and then, at the prosecutor’s request, placed in temporary custody.
Investigators also established that from March to May of that year, B. physically and psychologically abused his own mother. While under the influence of alcohol and drugs, he insulted her, pushed her, pulled her hair, choked her, twisted her arms and threatened to kill her. On 12 June, he kicked his sister in the leg for no reason.
The accused was charged with several offenses, including stalking, or persistent harassment. Konrad B. admitted to most of the acts with which he was charged, but denied threatening his former partner with a knife, reading her correspondence and abusing his mother.
The Lubin resident faces up to five years in prison.
