Yesterday, the Police, and today the Municipal Police, inspected the roofs of supermarkets in Bolesławiec. The structures are not at risk of collapsing because of accumulated snow, as there is only a few-centimetre layer of it on the roofs.
Across the country, inspections of the roofs of large-scale buildings are under way following Saturday’s tragedy in Katowice. There, the roof of a trade centre hall collapsed. The disaster, in which several dozen people died, was probably caused by the structure being overloaded by snow that had accumulated on the roof.
