The Jelenia Góra District Prosecutor’s Office has filed an indictment with the court against 21-year-old Patrycja G., who has been charged with attempted murder and causing serious bodily harm to another woman.

The incident took place on 15 June this year in one of the apartments on Słowackiego Street in Jelenia Góra, where both women were drinking alcohol. An argument broke out between the women, followed by a physical altercation. G. quickly gained the upper hand over the 55-year-old victim. Sitting on top of her, she punched her, dropped burning matches onto her face and then wrote a word commonly considered insulting on her forehead.

And she did not stop there. She struck the victim with a kitchen knife—in the cheek and neck—and then covered the 55-year-old woman with a blanket.

Fortunately, the victim was found quickly and given medical assistance, without which, according to an expert, the 55-year-old woman would have died.

G. pleaded guilty. She described the course of the incident, which the court will undoubtedly treat as a mitigating circumstance. The woman is currently in custody.

Despite her young age, Patrycja G. had already appeared in court for robbery and theft. She now faces up to life imprisonment.
